Chairman

Philip Blows BA(Hons) FCA TEP

Philip qualified as a Chartered Accountant in England in 1976, and has over 30 years experience in the offshore finance industry, initially in the Cayman Islands with a major accounting firm and subsequently in Guernsey.

During that time he has been heavily involved with the establishment and administration of trusts and companies in many sectors and in most offshore jurisdictions.

As well as being the Chairman of Hansard, Philip is also a non-executive director of several quoted and private investments funds and insurance companies.

Philip likes skiing and driving fast cars - but that is where the similarity with James Bond ends!

Director

Alan Northmore Cert IoD TEP Chartered MCSI

Alan was born and educated in Guernsey and originally qualified as an electronics engineer before becoming involved in the finance industry spending his first two or three years working on in house financial software applications before transferring to banking and global fund administration. He subsequently moved on to the fiduciary sector in which he has now worked for over thirty years.
He joined Hansard in 2000 and as a director, his primary focus is in client services, including property and investment structures in many sectors, particularly in the specialist healthcare sphere and related services.
He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and holds the Institute of Directors Certificate in Company Direction. 
His interests include running, having completed ten London marathons and living on an island, he has been involved in a variety of water sports from sailing to offshore rowing. His participation in these activities however has been more limited in recent years however, as he now has a team of five children competing for both his time and his energy!

Managing Director

David Lloyd FCG RSA MICA

David started his career in Jersey in the late 1990’s, and has a broad range of experience across multiple jurisdictions and products. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute, and a Member of the International Compliance Association. David was promoted to MD on 1st January 2023 following the retirement of the previous MD.

Dave brings a wealth of knowledge of trust and company vehicles developed for high net worth, sophisticated entrepreneurs with international tax and legal planning requirements, as well as small and medium sized families with requirements for succession and wealth planning. His focus as Hansard’s managing director is on client services across a broad range of the company’s clients and structures, as well as on Hansard’s internal governance.

Dave is an avid football fan, and a keen golfer and loves travelling and reading. He is married with one daughter who he adores.

Director

Duncan Rathband TEP

Born in Lichfield, England, Duncan transferred to Hansard in 2009 having started his finance career at a large bank-owned trust company. He holds the Diploma from the Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners, having qualified in 2012.

Duncan has served a broad range of private wealth structures ever since including trusts, companies, foundations and limited partnerships, for both corporate clients and individuals.

His early employment history was quite interesting, as he was, amongst other things, a Shiatsu therapist and eco-friendly plumber. He became father to a daughter in 2009. He is a keen practitioner of meditation and once stayed for a month in a Zen temple in San Francisco. But don’t panic, he can’t read minds. Yet!

Director

Nick Blows BA (Hons) PgDip TEP

Nick was born and educated in Guernsey before attending University College London, from where he graduated with an honours degree in Archaeology. He particularly enjoyed fieldwork, and was fortunate enough to spend six weeks excavating a Maya site in Belize.

During his career, Nick has been involved in a wide range of trading, investment and property structures from across the company’s client base. This has included family wealth structures that have endured through multiple generations, helping the new generation navigate their growth in the business world.

Whilst in Belize, Nick also found time to learn to dive and subsequently obtained an advanced diving rating. Indeed, he is a committed lover of the outdoors, and from the age of two has also enjoyed every opportunity to ski.

Non-Executive Director

Dr. Andy Sloan

An economist by background, Dr. Andy Sloan's experience of international fiscal and regulatory policy issues spans the last three decades and includes a stint as a director of the GFSC. He now divides his time between various non executive roles in the local finance sector, his work on sustainability and fine tuning his golf swing.

A protagonist for climate action, he established Guernsey’s green finance initiative in 2018 and later founded the International Sustainability Institute to produce research on sustainable finance for the offshore sector.

Andy’s greatest joy after golf, is holidaying in Italy in the mountains outside of Rome with his two kids, both of whom were born in Guernsey, and his wife of many years, Victoria.

Money Laundering Compliance Officer

Bernadette H A Marquis AICA

Bernadette joined Hansard in 2018 with a wealth of knowledge and experience in compliance and the regulatory background having worked in the fiduciary industry for over 20 years. A member of the International Compliance Association, Bernadette is Hansard’s Money Laundering Compliance Officer and Data Protection Officer.

Bernadette has a keen interest in wellbeing, yoga and cycling. She also loves a good Zumba class. She has previously owned two successful driving schools in Guernsey.

Although she has always lived in Guernsey, Bernadette loves France and the French way of life, having a French mother and Guernsey father, and she hopes to spend more of her spare time in France in the coming years.

Senior Financial Accountant

Henri Northmore

Henri joined Hansard in 2016, having taken a longer-than-planned career break of 7 years to concentrate on raising her five children.

Prior to this she worked in the trust industry, having begun her career in finance at a major international bank in 1995.

Henri is responsible for the Hansard books and its annual accounts, as well as providing client administration support.

Outside of work she is kept busy with the children’s social lives and hobbies, and is a keen choral singer and occasional soloist.

Executive Assistant

Marie Croal

Marie joined Hansard in 2008 with an extensive secretarial background, having worked as a Legal Secretary for 15 years at one of Guernsey’s longest-established law firms before starting a career in trust and company administration at a large independent fiduciary company in Guernsey. She then served (again, for 15 years!) as a valued member of Hansard’s client services team before migrating to its executive assistant function in 2023.

Marie spent a number of years raising her two children, but these days in her spare time she can be found practicing yoga, cycling, gardening and renovating on her home – and enjoying the occasional glass of wine after a hard day’s activities!

Zoë Hunt TEP

Zoë joined Hansard in 2019 after studying her A-levels, following which she wasted no time completing the STEP Diploma in International Trust management.

Hansard took part in the Everest Walking Challenge, a local charity event in Guernsey which Zoë helped organise, her enthusiasm encouraging many Hansard colleagues to join in.

Zoë is looking forward to visiting lots of different countries around the world. As a fan of pop music, she enjoys gig-going, especially as she enjoys socialising and meeting new people. She also enjoys a swim now and then!

Siobhan Wilson CG (Aff.)

Born, raised and educated in Guernsey, Siobhan joined Hansard in 2020, with previous experience in trust and pensions administration.

Outside of work, Siobhan enjoys cooking and on special occasions bakes speciality sausage rolls – cheese and marmite being the Chairman’s favourite!

Sarah Le Poidevin

Born and educated in Guernsey, Sarah joined Hansard in 2020 with an established fiduciary background, the majority of her time working for a large well-established worldwide trust company. Sarah has accumulated over 20 years’ experience in the industry.

In her spare time, Sarah loves being active and creative. She loves dancing, drawing, walking and being outdoors appreciating some of Guernsey’s many beautiful sights.

Sarah Trimbee TEP

Sarah was born in the UK but has spent most of her life in Guernsey. Following the completion of her A-levels, she joined Hansard in 2020 and completed the STEP Diploma in International Trust Management.

Outside of work Sarah enjoys occasional baking, a pastime she has been mastering since childhood. Overseas travel is another of Sarah’s passions as she is keen to explore new places.

Senior Client Accountant

Susan Wilkins FMAAT TEP

Susan is a Fellow of the Association of Accounting Technicians and a holder of the STEP Diploma.

Prior to her experience working with Hansard, she spent the previous 15 years working for two large corporates in their fund, trust and finance accounting departments. Susan provides financial and management accounting services and tax compliance support to the client services team.

In her spare time Susan enjoys going to the theatre, reading and travelling. One of her most terrifying moments was in Canada, walking across the very wobbly Capilano Suspension Bridge in Vancouver which is 230 feet above the Capilano River. A definite once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Filing Clerk

Julie Inder

Born and educated in Guernsey, Julie joined Hansard to provide filing and office support services. Prior to working in the finance sector, Julie worked as an auxiliary nurse at Guernsey’s principal hospital the Princess Elizabeth, and gained other valued experience as a child minder and owner managing a successful family guesthouse.

Julie has three grandchildren, who keep her on her toes in her spare time, and is a keen reader of spy thrillers and an amateur sketch artist with speciality in caricature. Julie is passionate about supporting local charities.
